We found this big log floating in the middle of the lake at Luby Bay on Wednesday night around 5PM. BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN BOATING THESE DAYS. Pick up debris. Thank you.
We're in Outlet, where the river is running high and fast. Last Saturday,
Several large logs came blasting through the river, and included with them was..... a 50 gallon cast iron water heater (circa 1940), that promptly got hung up on the largest rock in the river. Within 24 hours, the water rose fast enough to release the water heater, which then took off racing for the dam. Not a good thing... Peter lasso'd it and drug it into shore, it took three guys to wrestle it up on the beach, because it was so heavy (and full of water.)
That water heater would have caused major damage if not death if a boat hit it going full speed. I don't even want to speculate how something like that got into the lake.

Thank you for posting this. It is very helpful for those of us that are away during the week and trying to keep tabs on shore station and dock issues as the water rises.
