Welcome to the 48th annual Priest Lake Invitational!!! Same as last year, we are now accepting online registration and payment through our website www.plitournament.com.
PLEASE try to utilize the website for your entries/payment and all your PLI news as this will streamline the registration process for all involved. For all of those who cannot bear to let the old ways go you may still mail me your entry form and fee at the address listed on the entry form. Mailed entries will be accepted until 6/1/2022.  Please do not turn your entry form into the Priest Lake Golf Course.  I repeat, if you must mail your entry form, please only send your entry into me! Every other aspect of the tournament remains the same including the format (two-person team best ball) and horserace. Hope to see you out there on the 9th!

I know what you’re thinking, that’s great and all, but what about the prizes? The main tournament will be divided up into flights, both men’s and women’s, based upon the combined handicap of your TWO-PERSON SQUAD. Payouts will be for 1st through 3rd place of each flight based upon the number of entries received. long drive, straight drive, and closest to the pin holes will also be in play. In addition to the standard payouts there will be prizes available for a Hole-in-One on all Par 3’s. Currently we are slated to offer $20,000 (subject to change) for the main par 3, the remaining par 3’s will feature other great prizes. The horserace will begin approximately 45 minutes after completion of the main tournament. Horserace payouts will be based on the number of entrants. As you know, more participants equal more cash for the winners! We will be paying 1st through 6th place on a sliding scale for players in the horserace. The horserace is open to anyone with a maximum ESTABLISHED handicap of 30 who participates in the main tournament. Anyone is welcome to come view this event and wager on your favorite team(s), so feel free to invite friends and family to partake in your glory!  Bets on the horserace will be paid out on 1st through 3rd on a sliding scale.

Charitable Donation:  We will be donating this year’s contributions to the Priest Lake Elementary Education Fund.  This is a wonderful organization which funds all the educational needs for kiddos, teachers, and supplies necessary for preschool which is not funded by the state of Idaho.  Let’s give these kids a leg up on their future!

NEW RULES:  We will be monitoring the use of golf carts due to damage in the past. We are lucky to be able to utilize the Priest Lake Golf Course for this event and need to respect their property.  You will be required to sign for your cart. Only people with a valid driver’s license will be allowed to drive a cart.

Mulligans will not be a part of the 2022 tournament.  Hit it right the first time.

You must have an ESTABLISHED handicap to play.  Entries will not be accepted without a GHIN number or otherwise reputable system.  You will not be allowed to play in the horserace without an established GHIN number or similar system.

Attached is the entry form (if you must use it for mailing in), please review this for pricing changes as well as team requirements.  We also have sponsorship opportunities.  Please contact our director of charitable donations, Mike Belles, at mikebelles@me.com for pricing.

We are capping entries at 120 this year.  We will book players on a first come first served basis, so get your entries in early to avoid missing out!

Please feel free to contact me by phone or email with any questions. Thank you for taking the time to view this opportunity for a great time and I look forward to seeing you on the course!

In addition, the PLI is now run by a committee of the following fine upstanding “gentlemen”.  A special thank you to Dave Talarico (Director of Technology), Mike Belles (Director of Charitable Donations), and Taylor Hutchins (Director of Golf).  I could not put on this tournament without the help of these three, and I am truly thankful for the effort and time they put in to make this event exceed expectations for all involved.  Shake their hand and buy them a beer when you see them.

I look forward to seeing all of you out on the course for a great time!
