Despite inclement weather, about 140 people braved the elements to visit the Priest Lake Memory Gardens Grand Opening Sunday August 11.
President Don Howell cut the ribbon at noon officially opening the site to the public. In the first hour (before the rain, lightning and thunder), about 100 visitors arrived. Thereafter, heavy rain kept many away.
The area is open to anyone who wants to visit.
About 40 more hearty people donned coats and umbrellas to take a tour during the last four hours.
We thank all of you for your support and generosity allowing Priest Lake Memory Gardens to become a reality.
