The U.S. Forest Service-Priest Lake Ranger District Office will now be closed on Tuesday December 24th through Wednesday December 25th due to an Executive Order so that Christmas Eve may be celebrated by Federal employees. Offices will reopen on Thursday December 26, 2019 states District Ranger Phil Cano.
For log-hauling notification, the use of Forest Service road 308 (Kalispell Creek road) will be still be used for log-hauling until the first few days of January 2020, (weather permitting).
Snowmobilers are urged to stay aware of timber harvesting activities and to please stay on groomed routes. Both public and private forest sections within the area have been planted with seedlings, which are susceptible to damage and their harm can contribute to unexpected significant costs to forest management.
