KIDS FREE FISHING DERBY JUNE 14, 2025

We are reaching out to you today to ask for your possible support with the Priest Lake Kids FREE Fishing Derby on June 14th at the Priest Lake Golf Course. This is the 35th year and it has grown to the point that we need to find supporters who help cover the costs of this event. We annually send out these donation requests to members of the community hoping that we can gratefully receive donations. Our top donors are The Priest Lake Sportsmen's Association (PLSA), The Priest Lake Lions Club and the Kalispel Tribe of Indians but every single dollar is extremely helpful. With all this support, kids under the age of 13 receive a free fishing pole, tee-shirt and lunch for a family fun day that will be remembered by these kiddos for years to come (ALL FOR FREE).

The legendary Bob Ekler has been managing this event for all these years and he has decided to pass the torch on to me. My name is Jonathan Welch (class of 2001 Priest River). I am a proud husband and father of two girls dedicated to community wellness and the success of our youth. With help from PLSA, Bob and the community, I hope to be able to continue this legacy for many years to come. I am writing you and several other individuals, including local business, asking for support for this event either by funding or possible prizes that can be randomly given out every hour by raffle tickets. Our club is registered 501-C-3 and your donation is tax deductible.

Please include a return address with your donation so a receipt of can be mailed back to you promptly. If you are donating an item for the raffle and/or door prizes, please include the value of your item(s) for the returned receipt.
