Priest Lake - October 11

Volunteers with the Priest Lake Nordic Club have been busy the past two weekends brushing out trails at Chipmunk Rapids and Hanna Flats. The trails should be in good shape for what is forecast to be good snow season.

The club has started a GoFundMe campaign to purchase a new groomer to keep up with the public demand for groomed cross-country ski trails. To date, the GoFundMe campaign has collected $389. The Nordic Club has also collected $2,500 in private donations. The club needs to raise another $5,600 to reach its goal and purchase a new groomer. Last season saw a large increase in the number of users on the Nordic Trails. Cross-country skiing has grown in popularity over the past several years. With four groomed trail systems, Priest Lake is becoming a popular destination.
