Please note -- This will not affect the current camping season. This closure will not take place until AFTER Labor Day 2024.

Attention visitors: Starting Sept 9, 2024 all of Lionhead Campground will be closed. This includes the boat launch and day use areas. The campground will reopen May 22, 2025. We apologize for the inconvenience while we make much needed improvements to the park including paving, a new kiosk, and a new toilet. All other areas of the park will remain open.
